The third day of the Everest Base Camp Trek takes you from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche. The distance is 8.6 kilometers and it will take you 5-6 hours to complete the trek. The first part of the trek is a gradual ascent to Tengboche. Along the way, you will be treated to stunning views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. After reaching Tengboche, you will have some time to explore the monastery before heading back to your lodge for the night.
On day four of the Everest Base Camp Trek, you will wake up early and have breakfast at your guesthouse. You will then begin your trek to Dingboche, which will take approximately five to six hours. The trail is mostly uphill, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. However, the views are incredible and you will likely see some amazing snowcapped mountain views along the way. When you reach Dingboche, you can check into your guesthouse and relax for the rest of the evening.
The fifth day of the Everest Base Camp Trek is a relatively short one, at only 8 kilometers. However, don't be fooled by the distance - this is still a tough hike. The trail takes you from Dingboche to Lobuche, and the altitude gain is significant. Expect to spend 4-5 hours on the trail.
After a long day of trekking, you'll finally arrive at Gorak Shep, the last stop before Everest Base Camp. You may be tired, but don't miss the opportunity to visit Everest Base Camp! It's an amazing experience to stand at the base of the world's tallest mountain. Here are a few things to keep in mind during your visit:
-The walk from Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp is about 1.5 hours each way, so plan accordingly.
