The city is also well known as the city of sunlight and is considered as the holy city for Tibetan as well as Buddhist devotees all over the world. The name ‘Lhasa’ refers to the place where God lives and it has a long history and strong religious atmosphere from earlier times. Lhasa Tour is started upon the arrival of visitors in Lhasa either by flight or train. On the way getting to the city, you can view the Yarlung Tsangpo River/Brahmaputra River, which is the longest and largest river in Tibet. After arriving in Lhasa city, you can visit Potala Square, where you will enjoy the fountain with different colors. On the second day of the tour, you will visit Potala Palace (the winter palace of the Dalai Lama), Jokhang temple (founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century), and explore the old market. You can also visit the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Center if you get some free time during the day. On the third day of the tour, you will be visiting Drepung and Sera Monastery which are two of the “great three” Gulung monasteries of Tibet. You can visit the biggest monastery kitchen inside the Drepung monastery and enjoy the Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop. In a similar way, you can see three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock paintings of Buddha inside Sera Monastery. You will be sleeping all three days in a hotel in Lhasa and on the ending day (i.e. 4th day of the tour); the guide will transfer you to the airport or train station and help you get on board.

This is the very first day of our Lhasa tour and we will get there either by flight or train. Upon your arrival in Lhasa, you will be transferred to the hotel by our representatives and rest there for some time. However, Lhasa is the residence of Dalai Lama and you can interact with Tibetan Buddhists to know their protected culture and tradition with their lifestyles. You can visit Potala Square in Lhasa which presents a scenic fountain with different colors, which is really satisfying. Moreover, Lhasa is the perfect place for acclimatization because of its situation at higher altitudes. You can roam around the city and rest this day. Overnight stay at hotel in Lhasa.
After breakfast in the early morning, we will start our sightseeing tour around Lhasa. Today, we will be walking for approximately 3 hours in total and maximum altitude at 3,700 meters. We will visit Potala Palace, which is the winter palace of the Dalai Lama and Jokhang Temple, one of the oldest temples in Lhasa today. Potala Palace is the beautiful palace situated at the top of a single hill. After visiting the palace, we will make our way to visit Jokhang Temple located at Old Lhasa. However, the temple was founded by 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century and houses a golden Shakyamuni Buddha and most valuable religious artifacts. Consequently, we will be visiting the Old Market and the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Center at the end of the day. After completion of the Sightseeing tour for the full day, you will be transferred to the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Today, we will be visiting Drepung and Sera Monastery in Lhasa. These monasteries are two of the “great three” Gulung monasteries of Tibet. Early in the morning after breakfast, we will start our monastery tour in Lhasa. Firstly, we will visit Drepung Monastery, where you can visit the biggest monastery kitchen inside the monastery as well as enjoy the Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop. After visiting (or sightseeing) Drepung Monastery, we will move towards Sera Monastery. Here you can see three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Buddha, which is really pretty. You will have some free time in the evening and you can utilize this time for shopping or anything you want. Overnight stay at Hotel.
