Mt Kailash is a high peak at the elevation of 6,638m-21,778ft in the Kailash range in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. Manasarovar Lake is a high-altitude freshwater lake fed by the Kailash Glaciers. The mountains and lakes are situated close to each other. Spend the day resting or exploring the bustling streets of Thamel, Kathmandu’s vibrant tourist hub. In the evening, attend a briefing about the upcoming tour and check your preparation essentials.

Day 2 : Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu – Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath

Today, we are dedicated to exploring Kathmandu's rich cultural and spiritual heritage. Visit some of the city's most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites:

Day 4 : Drive from Timmure to Kerung (2,700m / 8,858ft)

Today, start your drive from Timmure to Kerung, a town near the Nepal-China border. The journey takes you through scenic landscapes with views of the Himalayas, rivers, and Tibetan villages. Once you arrive in Kerung, complete the necessary border formalities and settle into your accommodation. Take the rest of the day to relax and adjust to the higher altitude.

Day 5 : Rest Day in Kerung (2,700m / 8,858ft)

Day 9 : First Day of Outer Kora – Darchen to Dirapuk (4,900m / 16,076ft)

Today marks the start of the Outer Kora trek around Mount Kailash. After breakfast, begin the drive from Darchen to the starting point of the trek, where the trail begins at the Yam Dwar (Gateway of the Gods). From here, you’ll begin walking toward Dirapuk. The first part of the trek is relatively easy, with a gradual ascent as you follow the path alongside the stunning views of Kailash. Arriving at Dirapuk, you’ll be treated to beautiful views of Mount Kailash’s northern face.

Day 10 : Second Day of Outer Kora – Dirapuk to Zuthulphuk (4,800m / 15,748ft)

Today is the most challenging day of the Outer Kora trek. After breakfast, continue your trek from Dirapuk to Zuthulphuk. The day includes the crossing of the high Dolma La Pass (5,630m / 18,470ft), which is the highest point on the trek. The ascent to Dolma La is steep and demanding, but once at the top, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After descending, you’ll continue toward Zuthulphuk, where you will rest and recover from the challenging day.

Day 11 : End of Kailash Parikrama – Drive to Saga (4,450m / 14,600ft)

After completing the Kailash Parikrama, begin the return journey. Start with a short walk to the vehicle pickup point, where you will be driven back to Saga. The drive will take you through beautiful Tibetan landscapes as you leave the sacred Mount Kailash area. Upon reaching Saga, check into your accommodation and relax after the challenging trek.

Day 12 : Drive from Saga to Kerung (2,700m / 8,858ft)

After breakfast, begin your drive back from Saga to Kerung.
