Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at the airport in Kathmandu, you will be met by a representative from our company who will help you with your luggage and escort you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day free to explore the city or relax in your room. In the evening, we will have a group dinner where you can meet your fellow trekkers and ask any questions you may have about the upcoming journey.
After an early breakfast, we'll drive to Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna region. The drive takes about seven hours, and we'll pass through some of Nepal's most scenic countryside. We'll overnight in Pokhara.
On day two of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, we'll drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The drive takes about seven hours, and we'll pass through some of Nepal's most scenic countryside. We'll overnight in Pokhara.
On the third day of the trek, you will wake up early and have breakfast before driving to Nayapul. The drive takes about 1 hour 35 minutes and the trail to Ulleri starts from Nayapul. The hike to Ulleri is a gentle uphill walk that takes about 6-7 hours. Along the way, you will be rewarded with stunning views of the mountains and forests. You will also pass by several small villages where you can take a break and rest. When you reach Ulleri, you will check into your lodge and enjoy a delicious dinner.
We started our day with a short, but steep, climb up to Ulleri. From here, the trail leveled out as we walked through fields and forests. After a few hours, we reached Ghorepani. This is a small village with a few shops and restaurants. We spent the rest of the day exploring the area and enjoying the views. The next day, we would continue our trek to Annapurna Base Camp.
The fifth day of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a long one, but the payoff is well worth it. Ghorepani to Poon Hill is a moderate uphill climb that takes about two hours. From Poon Hill, you'll be treated to stunning views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain ranges. After taking in the views, you'll continue to Tadapani, which will take another three to four hours. Along the way, you'll pass through forests of oak and rhododendron. The total trekking time for this day is six to seven hours.
Waking up in Tadapani, you’ll be surrounded by towering mountains on all sides. After breakfast, you’ll start your trek to Chomorung. The trail ascends through a dense forest of Oaks and Rhododendrons before reaching Chomorung. You’ll have lunch here before continuing to Sinuwa. The trail from Chomorung to Sinuwa is relatively easy, but the altitude will start to take its toll. You’ll reach Sinuwa in the late afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Annapurna massif.
The next day, you will trek to Himalaya (2,920m) or Deurali (3,230m). The journey will take 6-7 hours. You will be rewarded with majestic views along the way. Make sure to take plenty of pictures!
