HAVE YOU EVER HEARD ABOUT A FAMOUS NATIONAL PARK IN NEPAL?
Bardiya National Park is the biggest National Park of this Himalayan nation, Nepal. It covers about 968 square kilometers of territory of the Terai area. It is a prime destination to spot Royal Bengal Tiger and One-Horned Rhino. Over 85 tigers are recorded here and the trend is upward climbing each year.
Bardiya National Park is home to 60 rhinos. The park is likewise well known for wild elephants. Asia’s biggest elephant was found here just about 10 years back. It passed on some time back. From the point of view of a winged (bird) watcher, the site is the best as it inhabits more than 400 types of fowls. You can see Bengal florican, white-rumped vulture, peafowl, and bar-headed geese. Gangetic dolphin found in the Geruwa stream is another fascination of this park. There are many mugger crocodiles in the waterway of Geruwa.
Welcome to Kathmandu, the city of temples. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Nepal, one of our members will receive you here. He will lead you to the hotel in a private vehicle.
Today, we will brief you about your package—Bardiya national park.
Early in the morning, we will drop you at TIA domestic terminal from where you will catch a flight to Nepalgunj. From Nepalgunj, we will transport you to Baridya National Park which is a drive of nearly one and a half hours.
Upon your arrival in the park, the nature guide will brief you about the upcoming activities that you will be experiencing throughout your stay here. In the noon, you can roam around and observe Tharu village and enjoy their culture.
After breakfast, the excursion begins. You will be riding in a jeep and penetrating the jungle. We will drive you to popular points such as Lalmati from where you spot a tiger. Don’t worry it is safe.
The guide will lead you to the crocodile and elephant breeding center, too.
We will drop you at the airport in Nepalgunj, as per your scheduled flight. You will catch a flight to Kathmandu where you will have time to stroll on the street of Thamel. In the evening, Northern Trekking Team will offer you a farewell dinner.
