GHOREPANI POON-HILL HIKE

This Ghorepani Poon-Hill Hike is a short version of Annapurna Panorama Trek. Despite short duration, the trek encapsulates the core essence of Poon-Hill Hike.

This is one of the busiest trekking trails of Nepal where more than 120,000 people visit every year. Located in Annapurna Region, the site unfolds the awe-inspiring view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.

Nature lover of any age group can experience this hike as the package will lead you to an altitude of 3,210m. Gurung and Magar culture and traditions are other important features of this hike.

Normally, hike to Poon-Hill begins from Nayapul but this short hike will begin from Ulleri where we reach by vehicle and not on foot. The major attractions of this hike are Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m), Manaslu (8157m) and Machhapuchhre (6993m).

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in Nepal, we will receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and lead transfer you to the hotel in Thamel. It (Thamel) is a key touristic spot of Kathmandu.

You will be introduced with a certified trek guide who will lead you to the beauty of the Annapurna region the next day.

In the evening, you can roam around Thamel and enjoy the sightseeing on your own.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing/Drive to Pokhara

Early in the morning after breakfast, we will start sightseeing. The UNESCO listed four sites are our major attractions today—Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath and Swoyambhunath.

In the evening, we will catch a bus to Pokhara. It is a fantastic ride on a luxurious bus.

Day 03: Drive to Nayapul/Drive to Ulleri/Trek to Ghorepani

We reach Pokhara early in the morning. From this City of Lakes—Pokhara—we drive to Nayapul. It is a ride of nearly one and a half hour.

Normally, Poon-Hill Trek beings from here but due to your time constraint, we will be driving to Ulleri from Nayapul.

Ulleri is the place from where you get the first glimpse of spectacular snow-capped peaks. We hike to Ghorepani. Our key attractions today are Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna II and Fishtail.

Day 04: Hike to Poon-Hill/Back to Ghorepani/Drive to Pokhara via Nayapul

It is a bit busy day but rewarding as well. Early in the morning, we will hike to Poon-Hill. It is one of the best vantage points in the world. The panoramic view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri with the rise of the sun will drive you speechless. It is just MAJESTIC!

Major attractions witnessed from this vantage point are: Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847 m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091 m.), Annapurna South (7219 m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993 m.), Annapurna IV (7525 m.), Annapurna II (7937 m.) and Lamjung Himal (6931m.)

Now we retrace course to Ghorepani where we will have our lunch and proceed toward Ulleri. Here we will catch a vehicle to Nayapul. From Nayapul, we proceed toward Pokhara.

Day 05: Drive to Kathmandu

Early in the morning, we catch a tourist bus to Kathmandu. You will enter in Kathmandu Valley by 3 pm.

In the evening, we will offer you a farewell dinner.

Day 06: Back to your Destination

It’s time to get back to your destination with beautiful memories. Plan another trip so that we may meet again. And yes, do not forget to recommend us to your friends and families.

  •  2 Night’s Standard Hotel in Kathmandu twin sharing basis with breakfast(on the arrival day and after the Trekking).
