Baridya is a biggest National Park of this Himalayan nation, Nepal. It covers about 968 square kilometer territory of terai area. It is a prime destination to spot Royal Bengal Tiger and One-horned Rhino.

It is abutted with Banke National Park and both the parks in consolidated are known as Tiger Conservation Unit. Over 85 tigers are recorded here and the trend is upward climbing each year.

The site is a home for nearly 60 rhinos. The park is likewise well known for wild elephants. Asia’s biggest elephant was found here just about 10 years back however, it passed on some time back.

From the point of view of winged (bird) watcher, the site is the best as it inhabits more than 400 types of fowls. Bengal florican, white-rumped vulture, peafowl, and bar-headed geese are the few to make reference to.

Gangetic dolphin found in Geruwa stream is another fascination of the park. There are numerous mugger crocodiles in the waterway of Geruwa.

Like Chitwan, the site is home of jungle people called Tharu.


Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu, the city of temples. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Nepal, one of our members will receive you here. He will lead you to the hotel in a private vehicle.

Today, we will brief about your package—Bardiya national park. Additionally, we will introduce you with your city tour guide as well who will be with you for roughly eight hours tomorrow.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

It is an interesting day as we will lead you to four key UNESCO listed cultural sites of this city—Kathmandu. In assistance of certified professional city tour guide and a vehicle, you will be exploring this culturally rich city. You will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupati, Bouddhanath and Swoyambhunath.

By late noon, you will be in Thamel where we will discuss the upcoming adventure, Bardiya National Park.

Day 03: Flight to Nepalgunj/Drive to Bardiya National Park

Early in the morning, we will drop you in TIA domestic terminal from where you will catch a flight to Nepalgunj. From Nepalgunj, we will transport you to Baridya National Park which is a drive of nearly one and a half hour.

Upon your arrival in the park, the nature guide will brief you about the upcoming activities that you will be experiencing throughout your stay here. In the noon, you can roam around and observe Tharu village and learn their culture.

Day 04: Explore the park

After breakfast, the excursion begins. You will be riding in a jeep and penetrate the jungle. We will drive you to the popular points such as Lalmati from where you spot a tiger. Don’t worry it is safe.

The guide will lead you to crocodile and elephant breeding center, too.

Day 05: Drive to Nepalgunj/Fly back to Kathmandu

We will drop you at the airport in Nepalgunj, as per your scheduled flight. You will catch a flight to Kathmandu where you will have time to stroll on the street of Thamel. In the evening, Northern Trekking Team will offer you a farewell dinner.

Day 06: Back to your Destination

Well, time to return to your country with heaps of sweet and excellent recollections. Plan another trip with the goal that we may meet again in near future. Furthermore, indeed, bear in mind to recommend us to your loved ones.
