Namaste. Mingmar and porter team (Tshering, Prem, Ram) are simply the best. Very helpful, attentive, friendly and did all they could to make our group feel comfortable throughout the rigorous trekking trip. I have hiked with Mingmar 4 times now (Annapurna, Everest, Lantang, and Manaslu) over 5 years and each trip gets better. Nepal itself is amazing, but having a good guide can help make the experience even more magical. Mingmar and his team know the best tea houses to stay at, all the mountains and wildlife, and make sure you have a safe, fun, and memorable journey all while at a competitive price compared to other companies! Well, the trip was perfect, we were lucky with the weather window but also with the organizer and its team.
We did in 11 days the following: Namche, Dole, Gokyo - Gokyo RI, Dragnang, Cho la Pass, Lobouche, Gorak shep, EBC, Kalla Pattar, Dingboche, Chukung, Island Peak and back to Lukla, more than 160km in Sagarmatha national park. Read More

Mingmar is very flexible. He did everything we asked and more. We changed our schedule during the trek and he advised how we could best continue. The whole trek was amazing.

We wanted adventure, and we got it! But we also wanted it to be safe and enjoyable, and Mingmar made it so! Trekking with my family to Gokyo Ri, across Chola Pass en Everest Base Camp was great. Mingmar and his team got us there and back. Climbing a real mountain was my lifelong wish and Mingmar was there to cheer me to the top.
Mingmar was our guide, but became our friend.

I did my Everest base camp trek in September/Oct. It was great experience. Mingmar was always very helpful and he has a sweet nature and great attitude which helped a lot in rather sharp conditions of Himalayan trek. He ensured we walk in a right pace so we don't get altitude sickness. He helped us with replacement of our sleeping bag which got lost at the airport, offered a jacket when one of the trekkers got cold. Also the places we were staying in during the trek were clean and had great food. I wasn't hungry at all, I even didn't lose any weight although I was walking a lot.
He became our friend and we keep in touch still. We planning to return one day to do other treks.

We have just completed the everest base camp trek and words cannot describe it, its simply out of this world! the scenes are incredible and our guide nurbu sherpa was incredible, if you ever had an issue nothing was too much effort. super friendly and also had a cracking sense of humour! highly recommened to anyone looking to take on any trip in the Himalayas.

We did not plan our trek through Northern Trekking Team however we did the Everest Base Camp trek with Saroj prior to him joining this team.
Our experience with Saroj was better than we could have expected. He was helpful and mindful of us and our needs the entire trip. He made changes along the way to ensure we got the most out of the adventure and we left feeling like we have a new friend and we still remain in touch with him. If he is the caliber of guide on these trips then I can not recommend them more highly.

I would give more than 5 stars if there is an option. Mingmar and his team(Subhash and Porters) were amazing. Annapurna base camp is really a moderate trek however continuous rain made is very difficult for us. Mingmar kept us pushing till we completed our trek. They are always smiling and very helping. We were 6 school friends and had Really amazing time on this trekking.

We had to opportunity to go to Nepal, specifically for a hike of a lifetime... Mount Everest!
We met Mingmar in Lukla - our first leg of the hike! Mingmar was well prepared, even though our luggage wasn't (sitting at Kathmandu) but Mingmar made sure it arrived to us in Namche Bazaar.
Mingmar made our hike entertaining, he was informative, and most of all watched over us during the hike and made sure we were well taken care of at each TeaHouse where we stayed.

We thirteen friends go to Nepal, specifically for trekking of a lifetime... Mount Anapurna circle. our first leg of the trekking，Mingmar was well prepared, even though we thought we had the experience to climb the peak,

Earlier this year I made up my mind to start working on my bucket list, EBC trek was one of them in the list. On Apr 26, 2019, we were a group of 6 who made it successfully to EBC and returned back in one piece! Thanks to Mingmar and his team (Birman and all porters), we had a great experience, just enjoyed every bit of the trek. Mingmar made sure we were well taken care of, fed well (Dal Bhat), he chose nice Tea Houses to rest in the night. He's a great guy, very patient, made sure everyone on the team is healthy and fit, gave very good tips while trekking, overall it was a memorable experience. In October of 2019, I traveled to Nepal and did the EBC + 3 High passes trek. Sange Ghising was my guide and did an amazing job! His English was good and he helped me to achieve my goals when I didn't think that I could go any further. What a great guide! The Everest region is beautiful and should be on everybody's bucket list. I can't say enough good things about my trip!

I went trekking with two friends to Mount Everest Base Camp with Mingmar as our guide. It was an amazing trip, and Mingmar was the best guide we could hope for. As people from Denmark we were not used to heights and we of course experienced altitude sickness. However, Mingmar checked up on us a lot, and helped with everything and made sure we were safe all the time. He has a lot of experience and we felt safe and in good hands the whole time. Besides, we had some good conversations and got to know a lot that we would not otherwise have known if we did not have a guided.
The route is amazing with such beautiful nature. I would surely recommend it to anyone who likes trekking and likes being in nature.
