Chhiring Tamang

My name is Chhiring Tamang, and I’m from Kerung, a beautiful village in Solukhumbu, near the Everest region of Nepal. Born in the lap of the Himalayas, I was raised in a land where mountains are more than scenery—they are part of who we are.

From a young age, I was inspired by the stories of legendary climbers like Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Pasang Lhamu Sherpa. While others admired heroes from books, my heroes were the people who walked the same rugged trails and faced the same harsh winds as my family did. Being of Mongolian heritage, mountain life has always been in my blood. My ancestors lived in these high altitudes for generations, and I carry that spirit with pride.

Even as a child, I used to wonder why my feet were so strong and wide. Later, I understood—it’s part of our identity, shaped by the mountains and the lives we’ve led here.

Today, I serve as the Marketing & Sales Director for my elder brother’s trekking company. My work focuses on SEO, digital marketing, international sales, and social media outreach. I help connect travelers from around the world with unforgettable journeys through Nepal’s breathtaking landscapes.

Travel and photography are two of my biggest passions. I've trekked to Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp, and many other routes countless times. Every trip reminds me how lucky I am to share the beauty of our country with others.
